Every new parent has a moment or two when they doubt their own parenting ability, no matter how well prepared they think they are. Unfortunately children don't come with a set of instructions, so each of us have to learn first-hand, on the job, and by getting as much advice from others along the way as we possibly can. This can come from friends and family who have been there and done it, as well as from parenting websites, books and magazines. It can be very validating to talk to someone who has been what you are going through.
